We work exclusively out of Criteria Recording Studios in Miami FL. Why?...
Trust. Privacy is a major concern. Criteria is gated with security and no data management issues. Assistant engineers and runners are highly helpful around the clock. The tech staff is always ready to tackle any issue at any hour. By handling executive affairs, management allows us to focus on what matters most... your music.
We take pride in making real career investments with a professional staff while preserving the musical legacy of the best recording studio in Miami history. Open since 1958, Mike's first session at Criteria was in 2009 recording the song linked below featuring Drake. The classic first words recorded tell you everything you need to know....
"Sound like my mic is right"
No. The Hit Factory is Criteria Recording Studios. Reverting back to the original name Criteria marks the ending of an era as they evolve into yet another decade of legendary recording expertise. The neon sign has been taken down and they've adopted a more inconspicuous exterior appearance. Same location, same management, still here.

Follow these guidelines for less prep work and more mixing.
- Align your audio files and send us synced tracks with the same start time. If you're using Pro Tools (preferred method), simply send the session properly with all corresponding folders and files.
- Try to send everything in one session or audio file folder. If you send a vocal session and a separate instrumental session with different arrangements for us to match up, it will take time at the same hourly rate and compromise creative mixing focus. We don't mind doing this prep work but it's something to consider if possibly avoidable.
- Send the rough copy of the song so we can hear what you've been listening to before starting with the faders at zero. Bad quality rough unmixed mp3 is fine. That's why we're here for you.
- For file transfers, you can use WeTransfer.com, DropBox.com, or any similar uploading service. We use our own proprietary MikeBanger.com servers for data delivery so look out for a custom link and check your spam email folder. Our custom links expire after 7 days or once notified of download completion.
